Terms & privacy
Our terms, in plain language
Last updated 18 October 2026.
1. Free means free
Team Peace offerings cost nothing. We never ask for payment, and there is no obligation to buy anything later.
2. Not a discount
A Team Peace offering is a separate free service, not a reduced-price version of paid work. It doesn't set a price or create an expectation of future free or discounted work.
3. Limited places and our discretion
Places are limited. We may accept, decline or put any application on hold without giving a reason.
4. Agreed scope
Before we start, we agree in writing what's included and the timeline. Anything outside that scope isn't included unless we both agree to it.
5. Your part
Show up as agreed, give us the information and access we need, and tell us early if anything changes. If you're willing, share honest feedback or a short testimonial.
6. You own the result
Websites, files and accounts we create for you are in your name and belong to you.
7. No warranty
We give our best effort, but offerings are provided as they are, without warranty. To the extent the law allows, Team Peace isn't liable for indirect losses.
8. Ending
Either side can end an arrangement at any time with reasonable notice. We'll hand over anything finished so far.
9. Events
You take part in events at your own risk and must follow the organizers' instructions. People under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent and, where stated, must come with them.
10. Privacy
We collect the details you give in our forms and keep them in our Google Workspace. We use them only to review your application, organize events and contact you. We don't sell or share them. Applications that aren't accepted are deleted after 12 months. To see, correct or delete your data, contact us.
11. Who runs Team Peace
Team Peace is a personal initiative run by Thom Peace in Tokyo. It is not a registered nonprofit or a company, and it is separate from his businesses, including PeaceWorks K.K. and Digital Futures Intl.
